Assess with Google
Synopsis
Campus leaders expressed a desire for more formative data from teachers which would be analyzed to monitor student progress towards learning objectives. To meet this need, I implemented a training series for staff on the use of Google Forms for assessment and data collection. Each session of the training series was differentiated to meet learners at their current comfort level: starting with an introduction to Google Forms, progressing to Google Quizzes and ending with complex Branching Quizzes (computer-adaptive tests). These trainings occurred face-to-face. All slide decks have been provided below.
Results
Improved formative assessment data and more consistent data collection to monitor student progress across all staff members.
Staff were able to independently create a computer-adaptive test (CAT) to gather more specific and accurate data to analyze the student's proficiency level.
Students and student supporters received immediate feedback and assessment results to more accurately track their content mastery.
